Description: OverviewThis feature service contains polyline features used to represent water quality assessment units for a 2026 assessment cycle. The records store mapped stream or linear water features along with their assessed Overall Use attainment status, supporting watershed monitoring, reporting, and environmental review workflows.  ContentPolyline water features representing assessed linear water segments.Assessment status values represent an “overall use” assessment that capture whether each feature is fully supporting, threatened, not supporting, not assessed, or evaluated for water quality conditions for designated uses.Supporting context such as assessment unit names, location descriptions, water type and size, watershed identifiers, rationale notes, and measured length in miles.Rationale information used to summarize the basis for each assessmentUseThe service supports GIS analysis and cartographic display of water quality conditions across mapped stream networks and related linear water assets. It is useful for environmental planning, watershed management, and reporting on assessment outcomes by geographic unit.  The 2026 assessment includes updates for Group 1 and 2 watersheds within the Division of Water Resources watershed planning process.  These feature layers are intended to provide the spatial visualization of the Tennessee 2026 List of Impaired and Threatened Steams.  The Tennessee 2026 List of Impaired and Threatened Streams is the official EPA approved document for water quality impairment.
